long, creamy finish that lets the exotic fruit echo. Try this with your

9-10.) Ross Estate, Lyndoch, Barossa Valley, Australia, 2005, $25.99 A distinct, complex and lifted violet nose from the Cabernet Franc,
spearmint and eucalyptus due to the Cabernet Sauvignon and very subtle
oak, the velvety balance of the varieties is evident. They show a
seamless layering effect of fruit on the palate, strongly driven by
blackberry, black liqorice and silky tannins. This big red needs a nice

11-12.) Odfjell, Orzada, Carmenere, Maipo Valley, Chile, 2005, $20.99 This
hand harvested Carmenere has 15% Merlot. This color is a deep red and
dark violet leading to a nose marked with black/green tea notes
followed by nice aromas of cranberry, plum and cherry. On the palate,
the fruit dominates with a refreshing acidity while there is a long
finish with mature, firm and velvety tannins.We had this with roast
