  • Every cask used in this incomparable single malt Scotch whisky is personally nosed and tasted by our expert Malt Master, ensuring the whisky achieves its rich character and seductive complexity. Only casks that pass his exacting standards are handpicked and then married together to achieve their final sublime harmony. This process ensures the unique character and richness of taste that sets our Glenfiddich 30 Year Old apart. The rarity of this single malt is unquestionable – there are only ever a handful of vattings of 30 Year Old a year.
  • The nose is thick and rich. There are notes of chewy sultanas and morello cherry, notes of dried herbs and cooked fruits with apple crumble and a balanced acidity. There are notes of crème de cacao. The palate is thick and smooth. There are notes of sherried peels and sultanas, chewy toffee and walnut, dried fruits emerge with a juicy touch. The finish is long and rich with winter spice.
  • Exceptional skill, decades of dedication and an inventive mind make a brilliant Malt Master. Earth and soaked wood aromas blend with deep vanilla. Flavours are sharp with spice and round with plum. A hint of toasted almonds gives way to a silky smooth finish.

  • The Lost Blend from Compass Box is comprised of 2 unpeated Highland whiskies, coming from the Clynelish and Allt-á-Bhainne distilleries, and a peated whisky from the Caol Ila distillery on Islay. It has been named in honour of a past Compass Box expression, Eleuthera, which has been lost to the ravages of time, and also shares a name with a 1907 story by O. Henry about two bartenders trying to remember and recreate a blend of spirits which possessed almost supernatural qualities. For the Lost Blend, Compass Box have created three different labels, all based around a theme of lost things, like keys, books and shoes (it happens). So please be aware, your label might not look exactly like this one.
  • Those extra four years give Oban 18-Year-Old a rounder, more developed flavor. The sweeter notes such as banana and toasted teacake, found subtly in Oban 14-Year-Old,are amplified. The rich sweetness of Oban 18-Year-Old is perfectly balanced with the most mysterious of flavors: a dry hint of Sea Salt.

There will be slight variations between batches, but the casks selected by Malt Master David Stewart for this release are chosen for having the richly spiced, sweetly honeyed character you'd expect from 25 year old Balvenie single malt aged in American oak. This means there is an overarching consistency between batches.

Sweet on the nose, with honey and vanilla; fleetingly, stewed apricots and peaches, plus a hint of caramel. Intensely focused, sweet tropical fruits on the palate, with barley sugar. Becoming nuttier, with an edge of mixed spices. Spice fading to milk chocolate in the medium-length finish, with just a suggestion of brine.-
  • This rare expression has been matured in a First Fill Sherry Butt for over forty years. The whisky has toasted malt aromas with hints of pear and sweet heather honey. The palate is initially peppery with fresh lemon citrus flavors; these develop into a smooth and creamy milk chocolate finish. MacPhail's Collection from Glenrothes Distillery is selected, matured and bottled by the family owned firm of Gordon & MacPhail - the World's Leading Malt Whisky Specialist.

Although no two casks are the same, and therefore won't produce an identical single malt, the casks are carefully selected by Balvenie's Malt Master and feature a consistent, rich, spiced character, complimented by hints of elegant oak.
  • A small batch of Balblair Vintage 1991 briefly replaced our award-winning 1989. The American oak barrels used in the distillate’s maturation, lend a warm toffee, vanilla fragrance.

  • FEW Bourbon The fantastic FEW Bourbon, packed full of toffee, clove, vanilla and warming spice goodness! This splendid craft beauty comes presented in a gorgeous bottle adorned with a label showing off some local heritage, depicting a scene from the Chicago World’s Fair of 1892. A vibrant spirit drink filled to the brim with character. FEW Spirits hails from Evanston in the United States of America, a city that suffered Prohibition for over one hundred years thanks to many of its advocates hailing from its dry streets. Thankfully Evanston is now home to this excellent craft distillery which takes its name ironically from the initials of Frances Elizabeth Willard, a key figure in the Temperance Movement.
  • With an ample proportion of rye in its mashbill, along with corn and malted barley, FEW Rye is a fantastic example of top-notch American craft distilling. It comes from Evanston, Illinois, a city that suffered Prohibition for over one hundred years thanks to many of its advocates hailing from its dry streets. In fact, FEW rather cheekily takes its name from the initials of Frances Elizabeth Willard, a key figure in the Temperance Movement.
  • Wood, wood, wood, but ever so complex with hot pepper, baking spices, butterscotch, vanilla, rye grain, tobacco, cigar box, sour-dough, and dried baking fruits ending in a citric zestiness. Rich & Oaky.

  • Aged in a variety of used American oak and sherry casks. Modestly peated, this would be an appropriate introduction to this smoky style of whiskey making. The nose has a bit of a menthol edge to it, perhaps a remnant of the original spirit’s minty edge. The palate is mild with smoke, more barbecue than coal fire, with overtones of red fruit and cloves. The smoke lingers, but not for long, making for a pleasant and gentle winter warmer that doesn’t require an extreme amount of deep thought.
  • Kavalan Single Malt King Car distillery is located in Yilan County, Taiwan, and the single malt whisky produced there is named after the indigenous people who originally inhabited this northeastern corner of the island: the Kavalan. Although the distillery was only brought on stream in 2005, the warm sub-tropical climate means that the whisky effectively matures more quickly and an impressive range of whiskies are available (now finally in the UK too!). This Kavalan Single Malt Whisky, for example was awarded a Gold Medal at the 2011 International Wine & Spirits Competition.
  • Seattle's single malt sensation Westland Distillery is back with a new expression aged in sherry that mimics some of the finest and most beloved Speyside malts from Scotland's Highland region. In the style of Macallan or Glenfarclas, the supple, soft, fudgy, cocoa flavors are more pronounced from the sherry maturation and the richness of the palate is enhanced beyond what we've seen in the standard Westland ex pression. It's a more decadent version of what we already love about America's top single malt distillery and an exciting glimpse into what's promising to be a very bright future.
  • Strictly 1 Per Customer! A classic straight rye whiskey, named for the New Orleans coffee house which was the birthplace of the eponymous cocktail - the one and only Sazerac. While it was originally made with Cognac, the Sazerac is particularly popular with a rye whisky (such as this fine example from the Buffalo Trace distillery) at its core.
  • Frank Sinatra was a long time fan of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey and was often seen sipping a glass of it on stage while singing 'Fly Me To The Moon' or 'My Way'. He even kept a stash of the classic whiskey on his private plane to enjoy while on the way to his next show, which would certainly beat a plastic cup of warm wine any day.

  • Boy howdy, sure does smell like darn good rye whiskey around these parts! Well golly, no wonder it does when there's High West Rendezvous Rye from Utah up in here! With a high rye content in its mash bill, Rendezvous Rye is an authentic, spicy blend of that makes one heck of a Manhattan as well as being brilliant by itself.
  • A terrific blend of bourbon, rye and peated Scotch whiskies from High West in Utah, we love the back story of this one. During a visit to Islay, David Perkins enjoyed a breakfast at a B&B near Bruichladdich, which included a delicious syrup made from sugar and peated whisky poured over honeydew melon. Taking this experience back to America, he set about blending sweet bourbon from Lawrenceburg with peaty Islay single malt, with some spicy Rye for good measure!
