  • -Whisky Advocate Gordon & MacPhail bottled a 21 year old expression from Scotland's northernmost mainland distillery for the U.S. market earlier this year. Sweet on the nose, with honey and vanilla; fleetingly, stewed apricots and peaches, plus a hint of caramel. Intensely focused, sweet tropical fruits on the palate, with barley sugar. Becoming nuttier, with an edge of mixed spices. Spice fading to milk chocolate in the medium-length finish, with just a suggestion of brine.-
  • This rare expression has been matured in a First Fill Sherry Butt for over forty years. The whisky has toasted malt aromas with hints of pear and sweet heather honey. The palate is initially peppery with fresh lemon citrus flavors; these develop into a smooth and creamy milk chocolate finish.   • Unveiled in 2014, the 15 Year Old Single Barrel Sherry Cask is a wonderful sight from Balvenie - single malt Scotch whisky fully matured in Sherry casks. These are released in batches of no larger than 650 bottles from a single cask, each one being hand numbered. Although no two casks are the same, and therefore won't produce an identical single malt, the casks are carefully selected by Balvenie's Malt Master and feature a consistent, rich, spiced character, complimented by hints of elegant oak.

  • Aged a minimum of 10 years, Whistle Pig Straight Rye Whiskey is a 100 proof, 100 percent rye whiskey hand bottled on a former dairy farm in Shoreham, Vermont. Founded in 2010, the WhistlePig Farm Distillery operates under the watchful eyes of Master Distiller Dave Pickerell, who formerly spent 14 years as the Master Distiller at Maker's Mark, and its proprietor Raj Peter Bhakta, who plans to grow organic rye on the farm for use in future batches. On the nose, WhistlePig Rye displays bold, complex aromas of allspice, ginger, nutmeg, clove, orange peel, and anise which are complemented by notes of charred oak, caramel, and a hint of honey. Full-bodied and rich on the palate, sweet, warming notes of caramel and vanilla are followed by rye-spice and mint flavors, which blend seamlessly butterscotch and dark chocolate on the crisp, creamy finish.

FEW Spirits hails from Evanston in the United States of America, a city that suffered Prohibition for over one hundred years thanks to many of its advocates hailing from its dry streets. Thankfully Evanston is now home to this excellent craft distillery which takes its name ironically from the initials of Frances Elizabeth Willard, a key figure in the Temperance Movement.
