As malcontents, we’re particular about our whiskey. When we decided to release a rye, we knew it had to be something special to live up to the amazing response received by our bourbon finished in port barrels. Angel’s Envy Rye Finished in Rum Barrels is genuinely special and worthy of Lincoln Henderson’s legacy. Lincoln had been considering a rum cask finish, and the taste profile of rye whiskey was a perfect fit. After sampling over 100 rums to find the right flavor to complement rye whiskey, the team’s decision was unanimous. Our vintage barrels began as small-batch French cognac barrels, which were then used to age and finish Plantation XO Rum. Angel’s Envy Rye spends up to 18 months finishing in these Franco Caribbean rum casks, resulting in an immensely complex whiskey. The mingling of raw, spicy and earthy rye with the mellow sweetness of rum finishing creates an incomparably smooth and drinkable whiskey, even at 100 proof.

Wild Turkey released a limited edition bourbon in celebration of Jimmy Russell’s 60 years with Wild Turkey. As Master Distiller, Mr. Russell has been responsible for providing the whiskey loving world with great whiskey all those decades. It’s pretty remarkable. The Diamond Anniversary Bourbon is a blend of 13 and 16 year old bourbon from barrels selected by Eddie Russell, Jimmy’s son and the other Master Distiller. Incidentally, Eddie has been with Wild Turkey for 34 years himself – pretty impressive (but it’s not 60). Let’s tuck into this one and see what it’s got.

At 17 years-old and hand-selected by Master Distiller Eddie Russell for its perfectly balanced flavor, Master’s Keep is the longest-aged whiskey released by Wild Turkey in the United States. Aged in both brick and wood rickhouses and at 86.8 proof, it starts out smooth and silky, transforms into a caramel, vanilla sweetness, and finishes with savory spiciness and oak.

What did one rye say to the other in a bottle of High West Double Rye!? "This whiskey sure is big enough for the both of us!" High West Double Rye! is made by blending two very distinct rye whiskies together, a lively 2-year-old and a sweeter 16-year-old that was made with a higher proportion of corn. It's the kind of idea that makes everyone in the saloon stop and stare, including the old fella playing piano in the corner. The result is a mighty fine whiskey with a good kick from the younger rye and lasting refined flavor from the elder. Yee-haw! Get along, now!

A terrific blend of bourbon, rye and peated Scotch whiskies from High West in Utah, we love the back story of this one. During a visit to Islay, David Perkins enjoyed a breakfast at a B&B near Bruichladdich, which included a delicious syrup made from sugar and peated whisky poured over honeydew melon. Taking this experience back to America, he set about blending sweet bourbon from Lawrenceburg with peaty Islay single malt, with some spicy Rye for good measure!

Boy howdy, sure does smell like darn good rye whiskey around these parts! Well golly, no wonder it does when there's High West Rendezvous Rye from Utah up in here! With a high rye content in its mash bill, Rendezvous Rye is an authentic, spicy blend of that makes one heck of a Manhattan as well as being brilliant by itself.

Masterson’s Wheat is crafted with choice Canadian wheat and mineral-rich glacial lake water, and it’s distilled in an old-fashioned copper pot – a symbol of the timeless craftsmanship that went into this whiskey. Aging occurs in white oak casks and takes 12 years for the whiskey to completely mellow.

Frank Sinatra was a long time fan of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey and was often seen sipping a glass of it on stage while singing 'Fly Me To The Moon' or 'My Way'. He even kept a stash of the classic whiskey on his private plane to enjoy while on the way to his next show, which would certainly beat a plastic cup of warm wine any day.

Strictly 1 Per Customer! A classic straight rye whiskey, named for the New Orleans coffee house which was the birthplace of the eponymous cocktail - the one and only Sazerac. While it was originally made with Cognac, the Sazerac is particularly popular with a rye whisky (such as this fine example from the Buffalo Trace distillery) at its core.
