“This unfiltered Spanish Tempranillo opens with a mild oak and mild blackberry with a hint of black licorice. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty black plum and black licorice blend with hints of minerality, old oak, and spice. The finish is dry and it sticky tannins show very nice length. This would pair well with slow cooked barbecue beef brisket. Enjoy.” 90 Points Ken Hoggins, Ken’s Wine Guide, Mar 1, 2013

Dehesa La Granja (2006) – “Dark ruby.  Dark berries and cola on the fragrant, oak-spiced nose and in the mouth.  Plush and expansive, with good finishing power and late-arriving, harmonious tannins.  This wine already seems to be in its prime drinking window.” 90 Points Josh Raynolds, International Wine Cellar, Sep 2, 2012

Dehesa La Granja (2006) – “Alejandro Fernández, of Pesquera fame, takes a classic approach to this 100 percent tempranillo wine, aging it in oak barrels and releasing it only after it has matured in bottle and reached its prime. It’s spicy, with an air of intrigue. Dave McIntyre, Washington Post, Oct 1, 2013
